Eligible Criteria for Gujarat Police Post

Essential Qualification:- Candidates should have possess Bachelors degree or equivalent. and Candidate must have computer knowledge.

Age Limit:- Candidates age limit should between 21 years to 30 years for Police Constable (Unarmed) post, Candidates age limit should be between 20 years to 30 years for Police Assistant Sub Inspector (Unarmed) post and candidates age limit should be between 18 years to 28 years for others posts.

Selection Process:- Candidates whose applications are accepted will be issued call letters by the Application Receiving Centres intimating place and date on which they are required to appear for the recruitment process. Stage-I of recruitment process will be different for posts of Sub Inspector, Assistant Sub Inspector & Constable from that of all posts. The INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE was established in 2004 as a constituent Institute of Nirma University.

Nirma University:

Nirma University was established in the year 2003 as a Statutory University under a Special Act passed by the Gujarat State Legislative Assembly. The University Grants Commission (UGC)

has recognized Nirma University under Section 2(f) of UGC Act and the university is also accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Nirma University is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) and provisional member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). In addition to the Institute of Science, the constituent institutes of the University include Institute of Technology, Institute of Diploma Studies, Institute of Management, Institute of Pharmacy and Institute of Law. • The Human Ethical Committee, Animal Ethical Committee, Biosafety committee, and Research Advisory committee are in place for excellent monitoring of biological research.

Research Areas:

• Maintenance of memory T cells vis-à-vis vaccine development.

• Actinomycetes and soil microbial diversity, Biotransformation of combined industrial effluent microbes for bioremediation of hydrocarbons, Breach of Rhizobium legume specificity, Molecular basis of MPS phenotype, Halophiles, Plant anti-microbials.

• Genetic determinants of cancer and congenital disorders, Molecular marker of male infertility, Glucose transporters in diabetes, Probiotics, Neurobiology of Epilepsy and diabetes.

• Protein stability, folding, misfolding and aggregation.

The Institute has 8 core faculties with diverse expertise in biological sciences and all of them are active researchers, of which six are recognized Ph.D. guides. Ph. D admission is conducted as per UGC rule.

Special Feature:

In vivo studies in animal models, plant models and insectarium.

Research Projects:

Completed 8 minor research projects funded by Nirma University and 2 minor research projects funded by GUJCOST.

Eligibility:

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biological Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, BHMS, BAMS, Physiotherapy, and others with minimum 50% marks and the selection will be based on the merit of entrance test to be conducted by th the Institute on 12 May, 2013 at Ahmedabad. If large number of students are applying from other states, accordingly new centers may be created and announced.

Students who have completed their 1st Year M. Sc. or 4th Year Integrated M. Sc .in Physics or Applied Physics or Integrated M.Sc. And

Students who have completed their 3rd Year B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc(Engineering) in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Metallurgy and Chemical Engineering.

The Summer School Program of the Institute for Plasma Research (IPR) will be held from 3rd June 2013 to 12th July 2013. If you are interested in pursuing a research career in Physics and Technology after your M. Sc / B.E. / B.Tech, here is an opportunity to spend a six weeks of your summer vacation at IPR. In this program you can learn about Plasma (matter in an ionized state) and its applications in nuclear fusion and industries. The course comprises of lectures on plasma science, fusion and industrial technologies, and a short project related to Plasma Science/Technology. The participants will have to work on a specific project in association with a faculty member of the institute. This will present them a huge opportunity of interacting with the scientists at IPR.

If selected, you will be paid a stipend of Rs.10,500/- for the entire period and a to and fro train fare (3rd AC) by the shortest route. You will also be provided with a free hostel accommodation (limited seats are available) during this period.
