Assam Rajiv Gandhi University of Cooperative Management, Sivasagar, Assam has invited applications for appearing AET UG-2013 leading to admission to UG Programmes of Academic Year 2013-14.

Assam Rajiv Gandhi University of Cooperative Management (ARGUCOM), Sivasagar, Assam 785640 will hold an All India Entrance Test for admission into Bachelor of Business Administration (Cooperation) - BBA(Coop.) for the session-2013-16. The examination will be held in different centres of the country. Details of procedure for downloading application and online submission of application will be available in the website within a fortnight. a) Seat Details: The BBA Programme has a total of 60 seats. The reservation of seats is as per Government of Assam reservation rules for admission into academic institutions. This will be done according to the following pattern ST(Plains): 10%, ST(Hills): 5%, SC: 7%, OBC/ MOBC: 27% and Unreserved Candidates: 51%. However University reserves the right to convert reserved quota seats into unreserved seats if candidates in the reserved categories do not come up for admission. Candidates applying against reserved categories must submit copies of proof of the same before admission.

b) Eligibility: Applicants must have passed 10+2 from any recognised board in India with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in either of the science, arts or commerce streams. A relaxation of 5% would be applicable for those applying under reserved categories. Those appearing/appeared in the qualifying examination can also apply but has to submit a copy of original mark sheet and pass certificate within reasonable time. Those who have passed 10+2 earlier than 2013 must enclose a gap certificate from competent authority to that effect stating the reason for the academic gap.

Condition of eligibility of any student may be relaxed only by a decision of E.C. Position of such candidate in the merit list will be from the bottom of the list prepared from candidates coming through AET UG-2013.

c) Selection process: The eligible candidates would have to appear in the All India written entrance examination AET UG-2013. Those qualifying the written test would be called for a Group Discussion and Personal Interview in the University campus. A final merit list would be prepared of the candidates clearing the written test after calculating the scores of all the three phases of AET UG-2013. The University may in due course also come up with a waiting list for admission depending upon the availability of seats. Calling for GD/PI would be through e-mail or sms. Therefore, each candidate must provide e-mail and mobile phone number at the time of filling the application on-line.

b) For applying to appear in AET UG-2013 a DD of Rs. 500/-(Five Hundred only) drawn on any Nationalised bank of India in favour of Assam Rajiv Gandhi University of Cooperative Management, Sivasagar payable at State Bank of India, Sibsagar will be required. (The DD amount being Rs. 250/-(Two Hundred and Fifty only) for applicants of ST/SC categories). The details of the DD are to be filled in while applying online.

Eligibility Criteria:

i. MD & DNB Psychiatry:

Candidates with MBBS / DPM degree holders from recognized University who have cleared the CET and NEET conducted by the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi. They will come through Centralized counselling.

ii. MPhil in Medical and Social Psychology:

Post Graduate degree from a UGC recognized University in Psychology / Counselling Psychology / Clinical Psychology / Applied Psychology / Psychological Counseling with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate. The name of the course is likely to be changed to MPhil in Clinical Psychology.

iii. MPhil in Psychiatric Social Work (PSW):

Post-graduate degree in Social Work from a UGC recognized university securing not less than 55% marks in aggregate in Master’s degree.

iv. MSc Nursing (Psychiatric Nursing):

The candidate should possess certificate of BSc / Post-basic BSc degree in Nursing with not less than 55% aggregate marks from a college / institute / university recognized by the Indian Nursing Council. The applicant should be registered with the State Nursing Council, with minimum one (1) year of working experience as on the day of admission.

v. Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing (DPN):

The candidate should have a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) or BSc / Post-basic BSc Nursing degree from any Institute / University recognized by the Indian Nursing Council. The applicant should be registered with the State Nursing Council, with one (1) year of working experience and must be a Government deputed candidates from North Eastern states.

Selection Procedure

The selection will depend upon marks obtained in the entrance examination. The entrance test will be of a MCQ type consisting of 100 questions to be answered in 60 minutes. There will be (+4) mark for correct answer and (-1) mark for each wrong answer. The test will have questions of MA / MSc / BSc standard (whichever is applicable for the concerned subject).

After filling up all relevant sections (as per instruction given in the prospectus) the application form is to be submitted online.

A copy of online generated form is to be printed and duly signed by the candidate and sent to 'The Director, LGBRIMH, Tezpur, 784001' on or before 10.02.2013 along with all supporting documents and a Demand Draft of Rs.200/- for unreserved / OBC (NLC) and Rs. 100/- for SC / ST candidates (nonrefundable) in favour of 'The Director, LGBRIMH, Tezpur, 784001' payable at Tezpur, Assam.

The hard copy of the online generated application form should be accompanied by 2 copies of his / her recent passport size photographs (names written at the back of the photographs).
