Marine Electro Technical Officer Course
The Marine Electro Technical Officer Course (As per STCW 2010) (Without Highvoltage) is a 16-17 weeks residential programme.
Successful candidates will be given DGS Approved Course Completion certificate, INDOS No., STCW Course Certificates and Indian CDC.

Eligibility (Minimum Academic Qualification):
i) Passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as separate subjects with minimum 50 % marks in English Language at 10th or 12th standard exam.
ii) Passed three year’s Diploma with 60% marks or four year’s Degree including lateral entry, with 50% marks in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication / Communication Engineering, or Electronics and Instrumentation or equivalent.
iii) The diploma/degree courses must have been recognized by any State or Central Government or the AICTE.
Duration:
16-17 weeks. 6-8 months on-board training arrangement will be provided as placement assistance for deserving students.
Age limit:
Below 35 years.
Medical standard:
Candidates should be physically fit for sea service under standard norms, with no colour blindness.
Training at CMC:
Apart from the regular curriculum, the cadets are trained in our Ship in Campus to monitor normal operations of a main engine including all the auxiliary machinery and the capability to troubleshoot malfunctions and to perform repair and maintenance. Marine Engineering cadets are trained in using on-board workshops and tools to affect repairs of components and manufacture simple items.
The training also includes the development of competency in verbal communication, safety culture in maritime environment and important aspects of shipping. The cadets are inculcated with sense of discipline, team spirit and the right attitude with lot of physical and mental activities.
Career Path:
After the completion of the course the cadets will be issued with the CDC, INDoS No., Course Completion and Degree Certificate. The cadets will join the Ship as an Electrical Officer.
How to Apply:
1. Interested candidates should download the application and send it by post / courier with the available details along with the DD for Rs.500 (Non Refundable) as application fee drawn in favor of "Coimbatore Marine College" payable at Coimbatore.
2. Upon the receipt of the booking fees (Rs.50000) and the application form, the institute will allot a temporary registration number.
3. The candidate should inform the degree or diploma mark details.
4. After scrutinizing the application form, the institute will inform the candidates for the written test, personal interview and medical test.
5. The successful candidates will be given admission.
1 year Graduate Marine Engineering
The Graduate Marine Engineering Course is a one year residential programme, where the cadets undergo theoretical classes with demonstration in well-equipped laboratories and six months (Ship in Campus) training .

Eligibility:
The candidates holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical and Automation Engineering after attending a course of 4 years duration from an UGC recognized university and or approved by AICTE, with a minimum marks of 50% in the final year, and a minimum 50% marks in English language at the 10th or 12th standard or in degree examination.
Duration: One Year.
Age limit: Below 28 years
Medical standard:
Candidates should be physically fit for sea service under standard norms, with eye sight up to 0.5 distance vision with no color blindness. Minimum height should be 157 centimeters.
Training at CMC:
Apart from the regular curriculum, the cadets are trained in our Ship in Campus to monitor normal operations of a main engine including all the auxiliary machinery and the capability to troubleshoot malfunctions and to perform repair and maintenance. Marine Engineering cadets are trained in using on-board workshops and tools to affect repairs of components and manufacture simple items.
