Invites Applications for Ph.D. (Science) Programme of Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR) January 2013 Session
The National Institute of Oceanography, Goa, is a premier research institute of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), invites applications for Ph.D. Programme under Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR) from eligible candidates.
Eligibility:
Ph.D. (Science): A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Technology/Medicine or B.S (of 4 year duration) or a Master’s degree in Science having a valid National level fellowship (JRF/SRF of various funding agencies, e.g. CSIR, UGC, DBT, DST etc.), INSPIRE or other equivalent fellowships.
Number of seats available: Maximum 15
Note: Only those students having eligibility to get fellowship from any of the national funding agencies on joining for PhD at CSIR- Laboratories will be admitted at NIO.
CSIR Scientists recruited 2009 onwards/ Existing Research Fellows/ Projects Assistants (working at CSIR labs for a minimum of one year) who fulfil the qualifications are also eligible to apply.
Admission criteria for SC/ST/OBC/Women/ Physically Handicapped candidates is relaxable as per GoI rules

Interested candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria can apply online from September 29, 2012 at http://acsir.res.in. Online application will close on October 28, 2012.
