CSIR will conduct Joint CSIR-UGC NET exam on 23rd December, 2012 for award of JRF and for determining eligibility for Lectureship in science subjects. The successful Junior Research Fellowship candidates will find admission in a university or national laboratory for higher learning and research. If a candidate is found to be over-age for JRF (NET) he will automatically be considered for Lectureship only.

Age Limit and Relaxation in CSIR NET exam:

The CSIR NET final result may be declared in the month of March, 2013 and fellowship to successful candidates could be awarded from 1st April, 2013 with the validity period of 2 years for joining the fellowship under CSIR Scheme.

Age Limit and Relaxation in CSIR NET exam:
For JRF maximum 28 years as on 01-07-2012 and upper age limit may be relaxed up to 5 years in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC, PH and female applicants. For Lectureship no upper age limit. Mode of payment of CSIR NET exam fee is Bank challan from Indian Bank only.

After successfully submitting the application online, candidates are required to take print out of the Application Form on A4 size paper, paste his recent black & white photograph, put his signature at the required places, attach requisite certificate(s) and send along with CSIR marked copy of fee deposited Bank Challan to Controller of Examinations, New Delhi on or before24-09-2012 and 01-10-2012 for remote areas.
